GOODYEAR’S ASSURANCE WEATHERREADY

Consumers know that Mother Nature can introduce challenging driving conditions. But no matter the weather, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company has introduced a breakthrough tire for drivers who want confident traction in all conditions: the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady.

“The Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady helps deliver exactly what its name implies: superior confidence behind the wheel, whether the road is slick with rain or covered with ice,” said Ryan Patterson, president of Goodyear’s North American consumer tire business. “Rain, sleet or shine, this tire delivers the best all-season traction for consumers.”

Available in a wide range of sizes, from 15 inches to 20 inches – and covering 77 percent of cars, minivans and SUVs on the road today – the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady boasts a variety of stability-enhancing features, including:

  • Goodyear Weather Reactive Technology, which contains:
    • Evolving Traction Grooves to provide like-new traction as the tire wears
    • 3D TredLock Technology Blades, which provide predictable traction in turns when the weather changes
  • Asymmetric tread for traction in any weather
  • Sweeping tread grooves that force water away for steadfast control in the rain
  • Zig-zag biting edges that provide dependable grip on snow and ice

“The all-season Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady is our best traction tire ever,” said

Patterson. “It was developed in partnership with our customers, to satisfy the needs of their consumers. Throughout its design process, we engaged with our customers collaborating on performance requirements, product appearance and other features.”

Popular fitments for the Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady include the Toyota Camry, Corolla and Highlander; the Ford Edge, Escape and Explorer; the Honda Accord, Civic and

CR-V; the Hyundai Sonata and Santa Fe; the Nissan Altima and Rogue; and the Chevrolet Cruze and Equinox.

Bridgestone DriveGuard

For those of you who have not heard of the Bridgestone DriveGuard… well, this tire is truly awesome, so keep on reading.

DriveGuard tires are specifically engineered to take a punch (or more accurately, a puncture) and keep you cruising along for up to 50 miles at maximum speeds up to 50 miles per hour. For more information on the DriveGuard click here.

In 2014, I had the opportunity to test the DriveGuard tires at the DriveGuard Launch Event held at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas; and the DriveGuard was nothing less than impressive. We tested out DriveGuard tires with punctures, and they were just as quiet as the DriveGuard tires without punctures. You did not hear any thumping that you would normally experience with a flat tire. The traction was also great in both the punctured tires and the tires without a puncture. For a busy working Mom like myself I was sold on the peace of mind and convenience you get from these exceptional run-flat tires. I think your customers, family members, and friends would be as well. Think about how often vehicles are leased or purchased without spare tires, which then puts the driver who gets a flat tire in a situation where they are stuck on the side of the road waiting for road side assistance. No one wants to be in that predicament, especially when there is a product that can help you avoid that exact scenario. With the DriveGuard when you puncture a tire you can just keep on going (for 50 miles!!). You can get your kids to school, make it to work on time, and then take care of your tire. Please note:: The only indicator alerting the driver that they have a puncture is the TPMS sensor (since the noise is minimal to none). So for Dealers selling this tire please inform your customers that they must pay attention to their tire pressure/sensor light to avoid being stranded or stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire.

To see a demonstration of just how well these tires perform check out this clip below from the Today Show.

And for those of you who are familiar with the DriveGuard here is some fantastic news:
